Day of All Saints in Spain.

The day of All Saints is a Spanish ritual on the first day of November is celebrated, this ritual is done in remembrance of relatives already deceased, celebrating this way of life with the Lord in the kingdom of heaven , the older generations who are more wedded to the traditions, gather in cemeteries to visit their loved ones in this way make them know that they have not been forgotten, most visit the cemetery a day before the 1st November to clean and prepare graves for celebration.

This annual celebration contributes to increased sales of wholesale flowers, the most popular products are chrysanthemums with more than 30 species, carnations, mini carnations and roses generating an increase in the exports.

Local production

Chrysanthemum in Spain is grown in greenhouses, The most important producing areas are : Andalucia, Murcia, Valencia, Catalonia and Galicia. The chrysanthemum is the third product in importance largest export worldwide taking a stake 13% the total and exports white is the color most in demand (40%), yellow (31%) and violet (11%). Highlight : chrysanthemum is the national flower of Japan considered as a holy flower and is used in ceremonies symbol of long life.
